Enhancing Church Live Streaming with OBSBOT
Moving Your Church into the Online World
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we've seen a significant rise in online churches, showing that more people are getting comfortable with the idea of
attending church services online. Many folks are now connecting with church content via online streaming, donating money online, or simply
watching sermons.

Wider Outreach
Online churches can easily establish a strong presence and extend their reach beyond their physical boundaries. This not only allows those who are unable to attend in person to participate, but also enables you to reach individuals who may have never stepped foot in a church before.

Community Building
Online church services create a virtual community and allow individuals to interact and support each other through chat, discussion boards, or social media. This helps combat feelings of isolation and creates a supportive network.

Online Donation
As virtual congregational engagement has surged, online giving to churches has also seen a dramatic increase. In a single year, an impressive $2.2 billion in contributions flowed into the coffers of churches through digital channels. (Source: Vanco)

Establishing a Church Online Has Never Been a Challenge
Establishing a church online has become increasingly accessible and user-friendly over the years. With advancements in technology and the
availability of affordable equipment, setting up a live streaming system for your church has never been easier.
Here is a simplified process of how church livestreaming works.
Essential Setup for Church Live Streaming
When setting up your church for live streaming, there are a few essential components you'll need to ensure a successful and seamless streaming experience.
Camera/Webcam
Microphone
Computer
Streaming Software
Network
To successfully establish an online presence, one of the most important tools you will need is a high-quality camera. A good camera allows you to capture your services, sermons, and events with excellent clarity and detail. It ensures that your online audience feels like they are part of the live experience, even if they are miles away. Our top recommendations include OBSBOT Tail Air and OBSBOT Tiny 2.

"Overall, this camera really works well for us because it has a good resolution, as well the added NDI feature really helps us a lot because the NDI technology is evolving, and the best feature that really works for us is the AI auto tracking and auto zooming capabilities of it."

Description
We set up our cameras, the OBSBOT Tail Air and we connected it to our network switch using the USB Type C to RI4S ethernet cable, going to our network using NDI technology and then going to our streaming computer or device and also to our application that we are using for our visuals inside our house of worship. We check them, put them in the right angles, and run some testing before our actual House of Worship Service.

The Micro SD Card recording and built-in battery are useful for us in creating our video announcements or capturing scenes that we believe are important for us and we are able to catch them immediately whenever and wherever we are.

The Micro HDMI port is also available if we just want to have a simple fellowship to broadcast our activities directly to our screens so that everyone can see our subject or guests or anyone presenting, or if we plan to upgrade our technical system using a video switcher.

"OBSBOT Tail Air is really versatile because of its small size (I can put it anywhere), intuitive image adjustment controls, variety of connection options both wired (HDMI, NDI, RTSP, USB) and wireless (NDI, RTSP) and the ability to monitor and control it from anywhere with my phone."

I connected one OBSBOT Tail Air and one other PTZ camera to the BMD ATEM Mini Pro video switcher via HDMI cable, received the image from these cameras from the video switcher into OBS with a USB connection.

Another Tail Air linked to the network through USB-C to RJ45 Converter and Cat 5e Ethernet Cable, sending images to OBS through the NDI plugin.

Audio routed from a separate PC to an audio mixer, mixed in Reaper, and delivered live to OBS via network using ReaStream plugin.
