How to Control OBSBOT Tail 2 via Web UI
OBSBOT provides multiple software options for controlling the Tail 2, including OBSBOT Center, Obsbot Start, and Obsbot Live. Additionally, OBSBOT enables control of the Tail 2 through its Web UI without the need to download extra software. This article details three methods to access the Web UI, introduces its three control interfaces, and highlights its advantages.
Three Methods to Access Web UI
1. Access via IP Address
- Confirm your device and Tail 2 are connected to the same network.
- Obtain Tail 2's IP address from OBSBOT Center. (Settings > Device Management > IP)
You can also find Tail 2's IP address from Obsbot Start. (Settings > About Device > Network) 
- Open a web browser in the device, enter "Tail 2's IP address" in the address bar, and press Enter to access the Web UI.
- Ensure your device and Tail 2 are connected to the same network.
- Locate Tail 2's Default Device Name from OBSBOT Center. (Settings > Device Management > Name)
You can also find Tail 2's Default Device Name from Obsbot Start. (Settings > About Device > Device Name)
- Open a web browser in the device and type "http://device default name.local" in the address bar. The default device name follows the format "Tail_2_XXXXXX" , where the space between "Tail" and "2" is replaced with "_". This will direct you to the Web UI.
- Make sure your computer and Tail 2 are connected to the same network.
- Download and install the NDI Tools from the following link: https://ndi.video/type/ndi-tools.
- Enable the NDI Mode on Tail 2 in OBSBOT Center or Obsbot Start.
- Open the "NDI Studio Monitor". Locate and select the corresponding NDI source, then click on the icon at the bottom right corner to access the Web UI.
Three Control Interfaces of Web UI
Tail 2's Web UI is a multifunctional platform with three control interfaces: Live View, Network, and Settings. Each interface offers features to enhance the user experience and optimize OBSBOT Tail 2's performance.
1. Live View Interface
The Live View interface presents a real-time video preview of the OBSBOT Tail 2. It includes AI tracking mode options, tracking settings, PTZ adjustments, and position presets, facilitating real-time monitoring and quick camera configuration.
In the Network interface, users can manage network-related settings of the OBSBOT Tail 2. This involves configuring the NDI source name, setting IP options (auto-obtain or manual input of IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway), and adjusting video encoding settings such as format (H264), resolution, frame rate, and bitrate.
The Settings interface allows users to customize the device. Options include changing the device name, managing the SD card (viewing capacity, formatting), selecting the language, checking for and updating the firmware, and restoring factory settings.
